Show From anether correspondent: First dance of the season given in the Greenhaulgh hall was a decided success. We understand a motion picture show has also been installed. Saturday afternoon and evening Miss McCheyne, Prof. R. Stewart and Lew Windsor were welcomed here, in the interest of the Agricultural College Extension Ex-tension work. The afternoon meeting was much enjoyed by women, while the men visited nearby farms. The evening even-ing meeting was well attended. Subjects Sub-jects of Sanitation in the Home, Irrigation Irri-gation and Drainage were splendidly treated. Manager Garvey of Mohrland, Miss Alice Hurst of Carbon High School, Miss Wolf and Prof. Kuhre were callers call-ers at the Lowry home Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Mr. Hills, our druggist, is suffering from an abcess on the knee. Mrs. Simmons of the National Child Welfare movement, gave a very able talk on the subject of "Thanksgiving Spirit in the Home" to the Parents class. Threshing is finished and all machines have been put away for the winter. Mr. H. A. Nelson left Monday for the desert to gather a car load of mules, which he sold some time ago. Sunday night the stake Mutual officers were here and expressed themselves as finding the Mutuals in good working condition. The Young Ladies association has received their beads as rewards for faithful summer work. |
