It is important to follow fol-low this practice at once to conserve the present supplies of soil moisture Moisture during the growing period of May and June is even more important impor-tant than during July and August Crops well started can withstand a later drouth, whereas plants with a feeble start have a poor show againsl the dry time in midsummer. |
