Hoggan returned from California Cali-fornia 'Sunday. When he reached the ! coast on his last trip, a few weeks ago, he found his uncle.. Wm. Hoggan, had died, after an illness of only a couple of days. The remains were taken to British Columbia for burial. Funk and Kilpack of the Manti Liv. ery Co. have secured a stage route at Delta. Mr. Kilpack took the livery auto over for the work several 'days ago and Mr, Funk has got a lighter machine for the work here, a Ford. He may join Kilpack at Delta in the near future. Sali.. t Mrs. J. McClenahen dropped dead Sunday evening from heart failure at her home in Mt. Pleasant. She was well known here and had some property pro-perty here. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mr. Emmclt Robins and father, George Robins, depart today, Friday for Southern California to remain a a short time to look over the country. They will go by way of LTos Angeles and return by way of San Francisco. One of the line men working on the local system, while raising poles on Main street Wednesday had a very narrow escape from serious injury. He had climbed to the top of one of the old poles and as he was working it broke and fell with him, striking a passihg wagon. He was badly bruised about the body and legs, but upon examination ex-amination at the hotel by a doctor, no bones Were found to be broken. It might have been much more serious. His name is Jimmy Breech. The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. W. Murphy's is quite ill and has been so for some time. |
