Show PERRON Hugh Jones, was injured by a horse accidently striking him between his shoulders with one front foot. While returning from watering horses, the animal Hugh was riding stumbled, throwing the boy over the head of the horse. Before he could get out of the way, the horse stepped on him between be-tween the shoulders, breaking seven ribs from the backbone. He was hurried to the hospital in Salt Lake City and is reported as doing nicely, the accident having happened several weeks ago. Mrs. H. W. Curtis is suffering from an attack of pneumonia. There has been some talk of estab lishing a hospital here. A mass meeting meet-ing was held last week to decide on a location and means of obtaining necessary neces-sary money. Neighboring towns are invited to join in the building of this beneficient institution. Our boys are sen on the basketball grounds every day. They will be prepared pre-pared to meet any team in the county. Mrs. Wm. Elder is suffering from a severe case of lagrippe. Lilly Rappley has returned from an extended visit at Hiawatha and Mohr-land. Mohr-land. Clyde VanBuren and Bert Moffit are our local Mormon missionaries. They will be here until the first of March. We also have some wagon missionaries of another faith here with us, Charles Aldridge, Herbert Nelson) Irvin Olsen and others left for the Reservation Tuesday. They contemplate contem-plate locating there. |
