Another man remains in the office in Logan writing up daily, the field notes as they are sent in. Weather conditions of the last week have somewhat slowed the field survey progress, Engineer Dunkley said Thursday night in meeting with C. N. Maughan of Wellsville, president, and H. C. Parker, secretary of the Hyrum Project organization committee. The conference was held at the Chamber of Commerce. The survey work of alignment on the main canal is now under way. , The engineering crew is at a point one half mile south of Mendon and are working northward. Field notes should be completed in about eight more days, Mr. Parker said Friday morning. When this is done, the Cache county commissioners will be requested to create a district to include all lands described in the field survey as properly adapted for inclusion in the Hyrum project water service. The last action before the government starts actual work of construction next spring will probably be the formation of a Waterusers association for the project. News dispatches from Washington this week have announced the reappropriation of $300,000 by congress to be used if desired on some unit of the Salt Lake basin reclamation project. This sunt has been held for the last two years for the Hyrum unit and it is understood that the recent is being held for that purpose. , . OUR Lewis boxes. BAD DAYS . .
