Show THE HERALD - JOURNAL, LOGAN, UTAH, Do Colorado Teams Quit Against Utah A ttack t , ViRS.RORElTA MCCUlcHEOM. VtCRLD5 eSCATesT UCMAM SCOPES CP 3 CO, HAS HAD Colorado teams believe Utah unbeatable. It looks to me as though they expect to get beaten and go into the game with the attitude of escaping with as few injuries and wrecked team play as possible, regardless of how badly they are beaten. The Colorado Aggie game last Saturday was an excellent example of this. Members of the Utah Aggie football Seam, as well as a goodly share of the football population of Utah including the writer, witnessed the game and one opinion was almost universally expressed. BELIEVE AGGIES ONLY QUIT Colorado Aggies just naturally quit. Tney did everything but walk olf the field and let the Utes walk up and down the field unmolested. This same thing has been encountered nearly every time Utah meets any Colorado school during the past three years. In the meantime, Utah Aggies and Brigham Young university give everything they have in the Utah game and witness the scores. bss. i tlus youm; mail's in,l t Ion!, ban: down on the ground and stiiKr.g a nolf dub in lus hands you'd have a picture. Colorado Aggies, in my opinion the strongest team in the Eastern Division of the Rocky Mountain Conference, including Wyoming, took a 60 to 6 licking at the hands of Utah. This proves what Utah can do when the red devils really try. And it also proves that Utah is so much better than any other team in this conference that it has no competition. The Utah second team would be a title winner. The third team would prooably play any other conference eleven even. Utah has an application in for membership in the Pacific Coast conference- Geographically and by dint of their outstanding ability, the red devils belong in that conference. C. - Utah Aggies, with the weakest team last year that they have had for sometime, held the Utes lower than most of the Colorado teams while the Cougars held them to the lowest score of the year. If that Is the attitude of Colorado schools toward Utah, Utah should leave the Rocky" Mountain conference and the Aggies and Cougars join them. Y'know, a conference including the two Montana schools, University and College, the University of Idaho, Utah, Utah Aggies, Brigham Young University and possibly, the UniSouthern versity of Idaho, Branch, at Pocatello, isnt an impossibility. Mark my words, this little school at Pocatello is coming up, and up, and up. It will eventually surpass the of Idaho. Of course, unless other schools introduce the high powered recruiting methods of Utah, the Utes would likely stand out in this kind of a conference like a sore thumb also. But better days are coming, believe it or not. j WILLIAM 3.
