C. students to the many financial opporuiem to tunities offered scholarships through various and awards. Students in every teid of endeavor who show standards of certain high scholarship and application may not only gain distinction but also cash awards that are enviable- Students wishing to apply for any of the various awards oifered should prepare for application when entering organize college and shouiU their courses and activities accordingly. The Johansen Scholarship Fund provides three scholarships annually, worth from 1300 to $350, for help of worthy students of Junior or Senior rang. Applications for this scholarship must be made before April 15, for the succeeding year. The Liberty Bond Endowment yields a loan fund of $40 which is to be loaned by the Directors Cotincll to a student making application before April 12. and who has need of financial help and has shown a high degree of scholarshio In the work of previous quarters. Two annual scholarships Of $125 are made possible by the Class of 1927 and are given to students selected by the Awards and Honors committee. The U. S. A. C. Faculty Womans League has a loan fund for women students which arranges for loans of from $50 to $200. preferences being given ' to seniors. An appointment to the Rhodes Scholarships in Oxford, England is made each vear from the state of Utah. These scholarships are valued at $2.-0a year and are tenable for three years.
