The eight homes are located in the Buckaroo Subdivision at 3570 South 7880 West in Magna and in the Winder Meadows Subdivision at 4300 South 430 East in West Valley. "As any parent will tell you, it's easy to spend a fortune on buying new clothes and other products. and yet children seemingly outgrow this stuff overnight," said Kid to Kid owner Shauna Sloan. "Kid to Kid just makes financial sense for lots of families." Sloan, and her husband Brent founded the company in 1992 with thel? first store located in Sandy. ' "Shauna, who is a mother of six, came up with the idea back-to-scho- ol kid-relat- Kid-to-K- id after trying to shop a the major retail stores with her children while her husband was practicing law in Ohio," said Heather Minor, spokeswoman for Kid to Kid. "She thought the concept would work well in Utah where there are a lot of families with a lot of children." The West Valley store, located at 2632 West 3500 South opened in 1997. Kid to Kid has also franchised to 35 stores in 14 states. The main concept of Kid to Kid is to buy and resell gently used, high quality children's goods. The stores serve as area children's product recycling centers, allowing families to make money by selling items to the stores and save money by purchasing goods at highly reduce $12 or less.
