The Nays were sealed in the Manti Temple The couple, originally from Sevier County, have made Magna their home for 46 years. By DEB3I OLSON Editor Red Robin Restaurant in West Valley gave away 130 bicycles Saturdays to area youngsters. Bike went to children of families the throughout valley after more than donated patrons 600 bikes in exchange for a free hamburger meal. The bikes were either used or reconditioned and put together by youth at the Utah youth Corrections Facility. Each child receiving a bike was screened to meet eligibility. Most were youth involved in boys and girls club programs or identified by local schools. Each child received a helmet, which were donated by Robert J. DeBry and Associates. Once bikes were chosen. West Valley City COP officers Sgt. Kory Newbold and Devin Novara took the new bicyclists through a training School for 34 years at Webster Lakeridge and Hunter elementary schools. Buster and Lois recently returned home from Nauvoo, 111 where they served a fulltime mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da-y Saints. For some of these kids riding a bike is a new experience, Novara said. We want to give them an idea of what they might encounter on the street. The officers said the most important things parents should do is encourage their children to wear helmets. A helmet is going to keep you in tact and alive if you fall, Newbold said. f 'Y -- 7.!'! Becky Hemmert and Joey Kendall will be married on Aug. 3 in the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. Hemmert is a teacher and coach at Brockbank Junior High School in Magna. All of her students, friends and colleagues are invited to join the couple in celebrating their marriage at a reception that evening from 9 p.m. in the Provo Library Ballroom, 550 N. Madeline had a fun party with her mom and dad, Karolee and Jake Fritz; her cousins Alec, Cade and Andrew; and her many aunts and uncles.
