'This year we are putting e Fourth on a real of July," said Ellen Aguilar, chairwoman of the Fourth of July Committee. And to encourage residents to participates in the days events at Copper Park, the Fourth of July committee will be holding a raffle with the total number of prizes that could be won valued at $26,000. "We received a donations the likes of which has never been seen in in-ki- nd before in Magna," said Greg Schulz, Magna Independence Day information coordinator. "This totally eclipses anything that has ever been done in Magna." Donation of prizes wer given to the Fourth of July committee by most Magna businesses and businesses from throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Two of the biggest donations have come from the Utah Starzz and the Days of '47 with lower bowl tickets to the July 8 WNBA game -- -- rs tjin to pg. and the Days of '47 Rodeo. The Starzz have given vouchMagna 1,500 ers while the Days of '47 provided $800 worth of Gold Buckle Tickets to the rodeo. "Those are two huge donates that the committee is so grateful for," Schulz said. 'Typically those seats go for at least $20." In addition, the raffle will include a stay at the Fairfield Inn in Salt Lake City, a stay at the Peppermill Hotel in one-nig- one-nig- Wendover, a one-nigstay at the Hotel in Wendover, dinners Scrapbook Heaven and the Magna Recreation Center have also donated to the raf- at Chinese Gourmet, Perkin's Cafe, Papa Murphy's pizza. There is hope that the Houston Clinic will be able to shrink the tumor enough to remove it, or eliminate it completely. The silent auction will be held at the Fourth of July celebration at Copper Park.
