Some of the calls that I received wanted the capital budget moved Some into the salaries area. Unfortunately this cannot be done legally. This budget is for building and maintenance of the school district. Each school provides a list of requirements that they feel is the most important to retain the safety or appearance of the building. M ' jT WEDNESDAY, JULY II mandates that must be taken care of. 1 mentioned one of these in the column last week so I won't take the time to review them again. The most important thing to remember is that they are required to be done by the law, but no money has been allocated to get them completed. Sometimes money is allocated, but not sufficient enough to do the project. The budget is available at the district office for review of the public.
