The county has scheduled the parks completion this year, which will include a small pavilion with barbecue pits and picnic tables, a small parking are in the southwest section of the park and walkways. 'That park gives us flexibility to being utilizing it for more community activities that are more centrally located to where the residents live." Schulz said. The land for Heaps Park is being donated to the county by Alliant Tech. However, issues of responsibility regarding possible groundwater contamination has kept the park from being built. Wadsworth Construction will begin reconstruction of the bridge from westbound to the Salt Lake International Airport July 5. The Bridge was demolished this spring when inspections indicated the structure was shifting and had experienced a small amount of settling. During the first month of reconstruction, closure of the access road from North Temple to westbound will be necessary and will begin at 7 a.m. on July 5. Westbound access from North Temple will be restored in early August. The reconstruction project will be completed in November. ' Signs will direct motorist around the construe- - 5.COPV tion.
