While other publications pay for space provided, those publishers have swallowed up the space previously given to the Chronicle by the business managers for the distribution of the Kearns newspaper. It has been a problem for the Chronicle to establish a solution to the problem. That is, until the Kcams Coalition, under the direction of Dr. Parley Jacobs, principal of Kearns High, proposed a wonderful idea. The wood shop students at the high school, under the instruction of teacher, Jim Loosle, made beautiful, wooden, newspaper stands specifically for distribution of the Kearns Chronicle. Ms. Edie Larsen, graphics instructor, also contributed her students expertise to the project by having them make durable Kearns Chronicle labels to place at the head of each stand. The teachers and the students of Kearns High have done an excellent job of making these much needed stands for the Chronicle. We look forward to seeing these stands at locations in Kcams where patrons of the paper can pick up their monthly, free issues of the paper. The paper wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jacobs, Mr. Loosle, Ms. Larsen, the students and the Kearns Coalition for their help in providing these stands for us. Thank you!
