From a flood of 700 entries, winning nhotographs were those of Tommy Bachus of Salt Lake City, B jorn Kennedy of Ogden and Samantha Potts of Salt Lake City. The contest, sponsored by the Utah Sudden Infant Death Chapter. Foundation and KSL AM-Traised approximately $5,000 for University of Utah Medical Centers new Sleep Study Laboratory. The proceeds will held advance SIDS research and provide better diagnostic services for Intermountain infants with problems linked to crib death a tragedy which strikes 80 Utah families every year. The winners each will receive a$100 savings bond and gift certificates for clothing and merchandise. They also will appear on the SIDS Foundation float in the Days of 47 Parade. Members attend chapter meetings to share ideas about employment and education and to plan and participate in various social gatherings and community service projects. Two of the primary goals of the association are to support young men and women currently enrolled in Pvt. Daniel R. Crux Job Corps and to inform other young people and the general public about the benefits of the Job Corps experience. Now in its third year, the NJCAA has chartered chapters in 23 cities across the country and includes members from New Hampshire to Hawaii.
