Coaches are forever preaching patience to their changes and hoping to turn out patient teams capable of waiting for the right moment to present itself. In every sport there is a time and a situation that is ripe for success and fruition comes to those who are able to reach that point and take advantage of it. In football, the team that stays with the game plan and maintains good field position, is usually the team that wins. Good football teams dont try to get all their yardage in one play. They do not throw bombs from their own ten yard line, try double reverses from deep in their own territory or pass from their own end zone. The football team that takes a little at a time, works on what defense gives them, and doesnt try to get it all at once is usually the team that is successful. Football is like life you cannot be too greedy and in general you have to work for what you get. Although, it is much easier to score in basketball than football it is also a game that requires large amounts of patience. Dale Simons Round ball coaches are forever preaching patience to their changes and trying to get them to work for the good shot.
