HARRIS, DAUGHTER 1; Necessity of Securing Gasoline DEVELOPMENT , Results in Arrest of Man Wanted by Police. j OF t - ar- - Everett Thompson, auto thief, rived in Utah county last Wednesday morning:, but finding himself in need of gasoline made the fatal mistake ; of selling a spare tire for the necessary fuel. As a result he is now in Utah county Jail awaiting federal officers, who wilt take charge of him and prosecute him under the Dyer act. . He was in need of gasoline, and offered his spare tire for fuel and oil at the Orem Service station. Deputy Sheriff Karl Boshard was dispatched to investigate the case, and by hard driving he caught the car between Pleasant Grove and Anterican Fork. Thompson, when arrested, was not dismayed, but stated that the car was turned over to him by a friend 1 Sal Lake City, and that he had driven to Utah county, where for some days past he had been picking apples. ' Questioning by Deputy Boshard resulted in conflicting statements, and Thompson was utterly unable to give the name of the man for whom he stated that he had been picking apples.
