Jenny seemed to know she would be going to a home that day - but it was not to be. Her adopters called to say that they the sanctuary had just fallen through. With Jenny by my side, I spent the rest of the morning clean- ing out the mobile adoption van. It was a hot July day and later on I thought Jenny had gone back to my ed of-- flee. But when I looked up from my cleaning, I saw that she had had pretty much given up hope of things working out for J enny . But then, at the beginning of October, Sharon emailed me to say that since she couldnt find a house to rent, she and her sister had decided to buy a house for Jenny! planted herself in the drivers seat of the van.
