NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE Kane County is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. As a result of the proposed increase, the tax on a $100,000 residence will be $129.47, and the tax on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity, will be $235.40. Without the proposed increase, the tax on a $1 00,000 residence would be $95.09, and the tax on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity would be $172.90. This would be an increase of which is $34.38 per year ($2.87 per month) on a $1 00,000 residence or $62.50 per year on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity.
