It is named that because of the United Order. It also has a nickname that is Soup Town. It was called soup town, because back when it was a United Order, everyone shared their crops and cattle. When it was time for dinner, the older men would eat first, and when it was time for the children to eat, all that wTas left was soup. My family is originally from New Jersey, but my grandparents moved to Orderville a long time ago. I was born in a town near Orderville and have lived there all my life, just like my father. He was born in my grandmas house, and to keep Joe coached Little League base- make snowmen, snow angels, Orderville, and now there is a baseball park named after him. It is called the Joe Caruso Memorial Park. Every year we have a county fair that includes food, games, entertainment and a parade. We also have a parade for the 4th of July. There are so many community activities here. I like the people in my community most of all because they are always willing to help out neighbors with their projects. (And neighbor in the area doesnt mean that they have to live right next door to you. They could live in Glendale, Alton, Duck Creek, Mt. Carmel or Mineral). All these towns or residents I consider my com- munity because we attend the same school and I have friends from the different areas that are in my class. in the snow. Each time an individual or of students at the high school attains a noteworthy achievement, performs a special act, or brings honor and positive recognition to our school and community, the Spirit Bell will ring out. The bell will ring to announce victo- ries by the varsity athletic teams, but it will also ring out to recognize superior performance in many other areas of student success. Brent Robinson has been chosen as Mr. Spirit for the current school year and will be the official ringer of the bell. If Brent is not available to ring the bell, a designated cheerleader or member of the Executive Council will officially ring the bell. The bell will toll exactly 20 times to announce another special acbievement by KHS students The bell will ring immediately after home athletic contests, and will ring during the noon hour to honor other accomplishments. If there are events that people in the community feel are noteworthy and may not be known to school personnel, they are invited to call a member of the Executive Council or advisor Gene Drake. School officials and members of the Executive Council request that only those specially designated people ring the bell. Get your GED for free Do you need your GED? A skills.
