This stands 5:15 5:15 7:00 The-Kana- for Help Us Give Service. Each month we will do a service activity. In September we tied three quilts and sent them to Kosovo. In September we went to the Elementary School and presented a play to teach them Peer Refusal Skills. The activity for November is going door to door collect ing food items for Helping Hands, a local food bank. We will be going out the afternoon of Tuesday, November 23. Please put food items out in a grocery bag or we will come to yourdoor. Ifwe miss your home, contact any Middle School student or call Cheryl Brown at non-perishabl- 644-214- 9. e I Swallow wins 2 gold Nielsen wins medals at Huntsman Games Doyle Swallow, local senior athlete, was a gold medal winner in Basketball free throw and the shot at the Huntsman World Senior Games held in St. George, Utah on October 1999. The Games, which promote fitness, friendship, fun and healthy competition for seniors, is sponsored primarily by the Jon & Karen Huntsman Foundation. The Games began in 1987 with about 500 participants and have grown each year since. 4500 Participants 50 and over from each of the United States and 38 other countries have participated in For the second year in a row, local senior athlete Clint Nielsen brought home a silver medal in the shot put and a bronze medal in thediscus from the Huntsman World Senior Games medals at Senior Games nt hbld in St. George, October 1 1999. Nielsen also qualified for the Singles Bowling Finals, but as these finals have not yet been held, the jury is still out on this activity. This will earn Nielsen another invitation to the National Finals to be held at Disneyworld in Florida next year The games are open to all participants 50 years of age and older.
