Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 10, 1999 Community 8 Lecture on North Kaibab Rock Art of offers Christmas permits the American tree The holiday season is just around the corner and the North Southwest Kaibab Ranger District will once Noah Robinson Shirley Pratt Swapp Carter, age 72, died peacefully in her sleep as a result of a brief illness, Nov. 6, 1999 in St. George. Born May 10, 1927 in Fredonia, Arizona to Elwin and Greta Pratt. Married Cloyd William Swapp, October 7, 1945 in Flagstaff, AZ., later solemnized in the St. George Temple. He died on December 4, 1992. Married Vernon Carter, May 23, 1997 in St. George. Shirley was an outgoing person who loved to travel. She especially enjoyed a good conversation. She loved the Lord and was active in her church, holding many responsible positions. She fulfilled a mission in Oregon. Survivors include her husband Vern; her daughters: Carol Lee (Michael) Kelly of Santa Clara; Shauna (Randy) Cram of Kanab; Nileen (Von) Whitlock of Kanab; and Trena Sirstins of Riverton, UT; 11 grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Cloyd, a sister Frances Isaacson, a brother, Harold Drew Pratt, and a son-in-la- w, Sirstins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 10 in the Kanab Utah LDS Stake Center, with burial in the Kanab City Cemetery. Noah Nathaniel Robinson, infant son of Rebekah Daniela Blair Robinson and Eric Benjamin Robinson, died November 1, 1999 in Kanab, Utah. He was born September 1, 1999 in Kanab. He came to this world free; he left this world free, and will live in our hearts forever. Survivors include his parents Rebekah and Eric of Kanab; grandparents Lynne & Blair Riddle of Kanab, Michelle & Richard Bauer of Aurora, Utah, Daniel Blair of Wyoming, and Albert Robinson of Iowa; Louise & Fred McPherson of Arizona, and Lorraine Warren of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many aunts and uncles.
