As a result of the proposed increase, the tax on an $80,000 residence will be $44.00, and the tax on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity will be $80.00. Without the proposed increase the tax on an $80,000 residence would be $14.26, and the tax on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity would be $25.92.
