On .he Fourth of July, it also has outstanding fireworks displays provided for visitors. Fireworks displays are planned for both Wahweap and Bullfrog and are provided to the visiting public courtesy of ARAMARK and the City of Page. In order to accommodate those who would like to watch the fireworks display in the park, entrance fees will be waived for single vehicles entering Wahweap entrances only, July 4th from 5 p.m. until the event ends. Vehicles entering the area pulling boats will be charged the normal entrance and boatingfees. Entrance and camping fees will be charged at Lone Rock. Although entrance fees will be waived, vehicles must still come to a complete stop at all entrance stations. The National Park Service would like to remind visitors who plan to view the fireworks from the Chains area that glass containers are prohibited. In response to input from concerned park users, and for visitor safety and resource protection, the National Park Service imple- mented a no glass container regulation this year at several beach areas. They include The Chains, Lone Rock Beach, Picnic Beach at Wahweap, and The Coves. Broken glass at these areas has not only caused an unsightly litter problem, but has also created unnecessary hazards. Rather than a mail survey, the folks at Vermillion felt that the money could benefit the coffers of one of the school or club group. The National Park Service encourages those who plan on viewing the fireworks from this vantage point to take an extra trash bag and clean up around their viewing area. Parking in the Chains area is d available on a first-combasis and will be limited to provide for emergency response capabilities. National Park Service rangers, officers of the Coconino County Sheriffs Office, and Arizona Department of Public Safety officers will be assisting with parking and traffic control during the event. Spectators viewing the fireworks display from shoreline access areas are reminded to be watchful of children and drive carefully both entering and exiting the recreation area. Due to expected capacity crowds over the upcoming July 4th holiday, NPS will also be implementing special camping restrictions at Lone Rock Beach. From 10 p.m., Thursday, July 3rd, through 6 a.m., Sunday, July 6th, Lone Rock Beach will be limited to overnight camping only. All users will be charged the overnight camping fee, regardless of the length of stay.
