Golfers take 3rd at Beaver The Kanab High School golf team traveled to Beaver last Thursday, April 15. Only five of the eight region teams were there, but it was still a good tournament. Beaver won on their home course with a 334. South Sevier placed second at 359. Kanab took third at 371, followed by Farowan at 372, and North Sevier with 401. Charles Hammon was the tournament medalist by shooting a 76 to beat South Seviers Justin Lott by one stroke. Byan Hunt shot a 92 for Kanab, while Aaron Clark hit a 13, Travis Fox a 104 and Levi Judd a 107. The golf team is preparing for their region tournament in Ce- dar City. vv S3 w?!- isSHi The KHS varsity baseball squad faced a grueling three game week, dropping all three. In the first contest, they travelled to Page to play the Sand Devils. The Cowboys started out the game on fire, getting one run in the first and six more in the second to take a 0 lead after an inning and a half of play. The Sand Devils would muster a run in the second and third innings to bring the score to The fourth inning would be an inning the Cowboys would rather forget, as they failed to score in their half and Page countered with 10 runs. The Devils took a 12-- 7 lead in an inning that was sparked with a home run and an array of controversial calls.
