Even though these roads are in cities and are not the countys direct responsibility, the county must have a legal way to direct some road money to its towns. The county would still get much of the economic benefit because it gets most of the tax revenue. The fifteen miles of paved road into Johnson Canyon stands as ah example ofthe effect of paving a road people live on. This improvement has made the canyon attractive to development, as well as recreational pursuits. More Johnson Canyon type roads would make us look better, provide a better quality of life for both current and future residents, and build a stronger economy. |
