Show Community Bonham gets new job the Sun and central Utah editor for The Daily Spectrum of St. George, has joined The DeseretNews in Salt Lake City as a reporter. Bonham is a 1986 graduate of Kanab High School and Utah Sterling Scholar winner in foreign language. She is a 1990 graduate of Southern Utah where she earned bachelors degrees in Sociology and Communication-journalism- . Marie Henry ofKanab recently returned from visiting her children in Pittsburgh, Pa., and New York. Its nice to see Dorothy Peters up and about. Arnold and Amy Hegge celebrated their 54 wedding anniversary on January 20, and Raelyn Chavez celebrated her 5th birthday with a party at her house. I had the opportunity to go to Kanab Elementary School and watch the Buccaneer Postal Ser- vice in action. Mr. Haynes, Mrs. Rhodes and Mrs. Swallow are doing a great job helping the children understand the workings of a Post Office. And by the way is everyone still saving their Campbell Soup labels for Kanab Elementary. The schools goal is still to collect 13,325 labels by March 1. In exchange for the labels, the school will receive playground equipment Barbara Hall will read a collection of her poetry on February 11 at the United Church of Kanab and Fredonia. Everybody is invited to attend. Barbara lives on the Arizona strip and has published a book of cowboy poetry. Since the rain started, my phone doesnt ring as much.
