Importance of Reading In Home and School Stressed - FREDONIA We are stressing the importance of reading at Fredo-ni-a Elementary School. All students in first through eighth grades each have reading from day. We are stressing the importance of silent reading in and out of school. We are participating in two incentive reading programs; "Book It" and a state reading program to reward students for reading. Mr. Williams, principal, has different students come into his office on Thursdays, where they read orally to him. The students are reminded of the importance fo reading at school and at home. "A reasonable amount of stress will actually help your child succeed in school they assert, explaining that this will motivate the youngster to achieve and be more creative and productive. There's a lot to what they say. The student who is shielded from work may not develop a will to work. On the other hand, the student who works too much may fall asleep in class or lack the energy to da school work. Somewhere goal, she is not sure what would take its place. She is currently a freshman at Fredonia High School. Selena lives at Pipe Spring and has lived in in the area for eleven years. She likes school because she has many friends that she spends a lot of time with. Selena says, "It would be pretty boring without them." Selena's goals in school are to receive many academic awards and to excel in ha education. She is an honor student at the high school. Her goal after school is to become a lawyer. If she cannot reach that Cedar City, St. George, Panguitch and Manti, graduating from Manti High School in well, quite a few years ago. I attended Snow College and SUSC where I majored in elementary education with minors in early childhood and physical science. "I married Ward Moore, who teaches in the Middle School. We have four children: Dustin, Ryan, Scott and Angela. I enjoy reading, people, fun projects, sports, and being out of doors. "I teach first grade at Kanab Elementary. This is my ninth year of teaching. I also have taught kindergarten, second grade, fourth grade and sixth grade. I enjoy teaching students of any age, and watching them learn and progress. However, sometimes conditions exist which do not allow a child to learn well. One of these conditions is poor manners.
