One of the tables was full of homemade crackers made and sent in using the same recipes, from the Alton Cook Book. Here is what was offered there. This first one is from Karen Crosby: CRACKLE THINS cup milk cup cornmeal 3 Tbsp cooking oil Vi cup floor ' tsp baking soda tsp Worcestershire sauce V tsp salt Coarse salt Dash of bottled hot pepper sauce Combine milk, oil, Worcestershire and hot pepper sauce. Western Lumber Near Normal, Orders Slip The report of comparative figures on Western lumber production, orders, shipments and inventories for the week ended Feb. 18 was issued by the Western Wood Products Association today. The information represents industry data Western woods from the region. Lumber production during the week was 350 million board feet, or 103 percent of normal. New lumber orders totaled 299 million board feet, 88 percent of normal, and shipments were 315 million board feet or 93 percent of normal. Normal is defined by WWPA as 340 million board feet, the average weekly production rate in the region. For the previous report (week ended Feb. 11) production was 101 percent of normal, new orders 95 percent and shipments 95 percent. Figures for the same week a year ago show production at 91 percent of normal, orders 73 percent and shipments 85 percent. figures through seven weeks of 1984 show production at 94 percent of normal, orders 94 percent and shipments 86 percent. Inventories in the region are 2.35 billion board feet, some 35 million feet more than the previous week. Figures for the same week a year ago show inventories were 2.101 billion board feet.
