Members of the club cooked their favorite foods for parents and friends and, of course, the judges. The cookoff was held in the Extension Trailer office and was judged by Joy Jordan and Mildred Morrison, Bonnie leader of the Howard, group was pleased with the club members ability and Attends State 4-- showmanship. Serenna Winward won a blue ribbon for her pineapple cookies. The other blue ribbon winner was Jennifer McCormick, who whipped up her favorite chocolate chip cookies. Connie Earley took second in the 100 meter low hurdles. The girls' relay team consisting of Tammie Earley, Carmen Savala, RaChel Griffiths, and Connie Earley came in 2nd in the 800 meter medley relay. Those who qualified for the State Meet did so by earning positions at the Region 12 track meet in Cedar. James Lamb, the only boy to qualify, won the boys shot put and will represent Region 12 as the 1st Place entry.
