Rider of Fredonia are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Shirlyn, to Mr. William Gregg Oppfar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Opfar of Pleasant Grove, Utah. The young couple plan to be married March 12. There will be a reception in their honor to be held at the Timpanogas Stake Center that same evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and an open house at the bride's parents home in Fredonia on March 19, 7 to 9 p.m. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Shirlyn is a graduate of Fredonia High School and has attended Henager Business College of Provo. William is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High and also attended Henager Business College. The couple will make their home in northern Utah. Shirlyn Rider and William G. Opfar plan wedding. On Thursday, March 4, at 6 p.m. the University of Utah Extension Service will hold a seminar on Solar Energy for at the KCR the Home Firehouse. Speaker for the evening will be Dr. Wayne B. Ringer, Extension Energy Specialist from the University. He will be available to answer questions on individual problems and concerns from those who have already started on solar energy projects as well as demonstrating a kit developed by Arizona State University College of Architecture. Dr. Ringer will also answer questions about how the development of a solar energy system for the home can be used as an income tax credit. Feb. 27, 1982 by the Stake Young Women. There was over 75 Beehives and their advisors in attendance. Carol Heaton, the Stake Beehive advisor was chairman over the conference with JoAnn Willis, Diane Spencer, Kristine Brown, Melissa Skaggs, Teresa Potter Lisa Jocobson, Melanie Robinson, Nancy Schmutz, Jana Heaton and Mickie Kroft as committee members. The conference began with greetings and a special musical number sang by Roseann Glaizer and Roslie Hatch with Carlene Honey accompaning on the piano. There was four work shops for the Young Women to participate in. Cake Decorating was taught by Shannon Clark where each girl decorated her own cup cake, which was to be eaten later for their dessert with the luncheon. Make-uwas demonstrated by Michelle Gram from St. George. She taught the girls how to apply for approperiate make-u- p Young Women of their age. Laur Graff, from Santa Gara and Chariyne Linton taught the girls how to make a picture frame using brightly colored fabrics. Denny Cram held a work shop where she showed the Young Women how to make and design her personal banner. A lovely luncheon of fruit and vegatable salads and home made bread sticks was served. And of course, for desert, a personal cupcake. For the closing of the conference, Rhonda Button gave a very beautiful and approperated spiritual p Milton Cram, Cortella Cutler Pass Away Word was received just before going to press of the deaths of two local residents, Milton B.Cram of Fredonia, and Cortella Cutler of Kanab. Mr. Cram passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 2. Graveside services will be held in his honor Friday, March 5 at 1 p.m. at the Fredonia Cemetery. Friends may call at Mosdell Mortuary at 12 noon.
