Fire Department Receives Donation from Fredonia Girls Scouts - Cheryl Johnson and three of her Girl Scouts attended our last fire department meeting to present the department with $30.00 the girls raised in a game boGth at the Halloween Fair. The girls took a special interest in the fire department after some of them worked on -- their safety merit badges. They attended one of our drill sessions and had a chance to try for themselves the work that has to be done at a fire scene. The girls, wearing breathing apparatus and turnouts had a chance to handle hoses and ladders along with the firefighters. They were ready to join up right then and there, but, unfortunately, theres a little matter of age. So, until the girls turn 18 and can join us as firefighters, theyll help where they can. We appreciate their hard work on behalf of the department, and will put the money they earned in with the rest for the equipment purchase. full-fledg- Fire Damages House Trailer A small fire early in the morning of Jan. 10 did about - Nev.
