If he cant give you that list, find another contractor. Avoid signing a contract until you are absolutely confident you understand all the fine print. Well Servicing and Repairs Test Pumping Pump Sales & Servicing Irrigation Systems Wheel Line & Hand Line 644;2948erm-53- 6 Downed gates mean trouble The Southern Utah area is heavily used by both local and visiting recreationists. Unfortunately, some of these people are careless in their use of private, public and state land. One of the problems is caused by people who do not close gates behind them as they travel on the backroads. These gates serve an important function in all lands. Thge tant function in ail lands. The livestock operators and private land owners in this area are the one'i who suffer most. By failing to close gates behind them, recreationists open the way for cattle and sheep to roam away from the land they should be on. This causes the owners a lot of problem when they have to retrieve their straying livestock and pay trespassing fines. It can also cause strained relations between neighbors. In many places this abuse by recreationists has caused private land owners to lock their gates and not let anyone past. If you have ever been out hunting or sightseeing and turned back because of a locked gate, ask yourself if you may have helped put that lock on by your negligence. Besides the trouble caused to land owners, people who leave gates down can cause problems for themselves. Utah state law prohibits this abuse and calls for penalties of up to $299 fine and up to six months in jail plus being liable for all damages that might be sustained. As the summer approaches and the good weather draws us outside more and more, please close any gates that you open. This will not only help your neighbors who are good enough to let you use their land for recreation but it could also ensure that you can continue that use.
