The National Park Service recently awarded a contract to University of Utah's Bureau of Economic and Business Research for a study of the economic Impact of the proposed closing. That study Is to be completed by July 31, 1975, and the results to be made known soon thereafter. Other elements of consideration are the preparation of a city plan by the Town of Spring-dal- e, located at Zion National Park's south entrance on State Superintendent Robert C . Heyder of Zion National Park said dates and locations for the will be announced meetings ter. la- The meetings will provide a forum for full public review of the proposal to end overnight facilities within the park, Heyder said. TWA Services, Inc., holds a contract with the National Park Service to provide overnight lodgings in Zion National Park. That contract, negotiated in 1973, directed that this service end on December 31, 1975.
