Judd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Judd of Kanab, is attending the Air Universitys Squadron Officer School at Maxwell AFB, Ala. Captain Judd will receive instruction in communicative skills, leadership, international relations, and responsibilities that prepares junior officers for command-staf- f duties. The captain was commissioned upon completion of the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps program at Utah State University where he received his B.S. degree in 1963. Captain Judd, a 1958 graduate of Kanab High School, earned an M.S. degree in civil engineering in 1965 from the University of Colorado. To gain honor roll status a student must be taking at least 15 credit hours and attain a GPA of 3.60 or above. Among the high honor roll students (4 point GPA) is Milton John Cram of Fredonia. Local students listed on the honor roll (GPA 3.60 to 3.95) include: Norman Clyde Roundy of Alton, and the following students from Kanab: Frank Ford Little, Norman Randall Cram, Kerry Carpenter, and Paula Jean Smith. Mike is a graduate of Snow College where he attended school from 1968 to 1970. He is presently attending Utah State University. During his two years at USU he has been on the honor roll every quarter. To be on the honor roll, a student must have an A or 3.5 average. Mike will graduate from USU 5 with a B. S. degree in Forest-Range Management. Because of his high grades, he has been invited to join two honor societies. He is already a member of Xi Sigma Pi, a national honor society. One of the societies he has been asked to join is Phi Kappa Phi, offered to the top 10 percent of the students. University of Arizona, and Utah State University have offered assistants to Mike this spring. He has decided to accept the one from USU, so he, his wife, Lynn, and daughter Jacki, will remain in Logan for two more years while he works on his graduate studies and masters degree.
