Ure, 1764 Mountain View Drive, Salt Lake City, Lot No. 19, Section 14 Utah Township 43 South Range 2 East John L. Fulkerson, 545.90 it. A man was moving along a dimly lighted street when a. stranger slipped from the shadows and stopped him. asked What do you want? the man nervously. Would you be so kind, asked the stranger, as to help a poor unfortunate fellow who is hungry and out of work? All I have in this world is this gun. Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing. Ah, if I were only a poet Id write a verse about The Last Day of School. There just is no other experience that comes through a lifetime as that enjoyed by a young school boy or girl on the final day of school each year. Those of us who have passed the point of no return, can only look back on that time and reflect, Theres just nothing else in the world like it. This week brings to an end another school for the various institutions of learning in this area. Last night the three high schools of the area had their graduation exercises, and now the kids are and fancy free for the summer. Last week we ran our annual graduate picture pages of the 3 high schools and now we congratulate the graduates for their accomplishments. Wed like to extend a special thanks to the businesses for their support each year in this endeavor. Without their support we could not afford to run the pictures, and their willingness to join is in the good will advertising always generous. I guess no one gets dunned like local businesses for a $5 here or a 520 there to support various activities. We recognize that this type advertising does not give the business much coverage as far as their particular product or service goes, but it does show that they are willing to put out for community betterment activities, etc. We suggest that you support the businesses who support such projects. We goofed in one instance and failed to list the Starlite Cafe in Orderville who had contributed to the Valley graduate page. We apologize to them. The Southern Utah News would like to express appreciation to those who helped make the publishing of the senior pictures possible. Besides the advertisers we thank those who gather the pictures, Mr. Jim Glover in Valley, Mrs. Barbara Hamblin in Kanab and Mrs. Afton Jameson in Fredonia. And to those who contacted the The schools for their final day spent some time in activities, and which, among other things included cleaning up around the schools and around the towns in general. Another clean up campaign to be held June 5th is one by the Boy Scouts across the nation. It is expected to find millions of scouts and leaders making war on litter in a Keep America Beautiful day. and Pollution and anti-litthave really come to the front in the past year, and maybe its a good thing. Why we litter up our environment with papers and beer cans is more than I can understand. Almost every organization is getting into the picture. This week for example we have two or three proclamations, from Scouts to Fish and Game who are concerned with the environment and are trying to impress upon we the public the need to protect it.
