It seems good to see the pupils going to school again. The Fair is over and from where I stand it was a very successful Fair. It's the people of Kane County who make it a success too. Visitors at the B. P. Fishers have been, Mrs. Jennie Carlson and two of her grandsons on her way back to Calif. Mis. Carlson is a sister of Mrs. Fisher. Mr. and Mrs. Allen D. Carlson and two daughters of California spent a few days visiting with the Fishers. Mr. Carlson is a nephew of Mrs. Fisher. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher, Garth Fisher, and children of Albuquerque, New Mex., visited here several days. Also Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher and baby and Reed Fisher of Cedar City, were visitors at the home of their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Esplin of northern Utah visited at the Willard Esplin home several days. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Allred of Henderson, Nev., visited here Saturday. Jay will be living here for awhile. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Spencer and children of Las Vegas, Nev., visited here with the H. Frosts. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Heaton and children of California visited at the Grace Heaton home. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lund and children of Granger, visited at the Horace Burrows home. Mr. and Mrs. Lee LaMar Chamberlain and children of St. George, visited with the LaMar Chamberlains. Mr. and Mrs. LaNor Lamb and ch'ldren are home the summer in northern Utah. Its good to have them back. Mr. and Mrs. Merwln Stevens visited in Salt Lake City with their two daughters and fam- Pico-River- after-spendin- lilies. While there they met their son Dr. Alan Stevens of Camden, New Jersey, who had attended a National Horticultural Science meeting. Dr. Stevens presented a research paper on vegetables. He received the So- cietys award for outstanding research with vegetables. Mr. and Mrs. Thad Stevens and children of Fillmore visited with the Merwin Stevens. Mrs. Kirk Covington of Salt Lake City visited with her parents the LaNard Johnsons several days the past week. Also visiting with the Johnsons was Dennis Harkness of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Chamber-laiand family cf San Bernardino, Calif., visited here several days. Mrs. Elinor Tuft and daughter came to visit with them Sunday. Visitors at the LeGrande C. Heaton home were their grandchildren Ila and Timmy, children of Dr. and Mrs. Fred IDa-to- n of Albuquerque, New Mex. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Porter and girls of Albuquerque also visited them. Mr. Porter helped with the sound for the pageant a year ago. There were a lot of other visitors but I didn't write them down. n Speakers for Sacrament meeting Sunday were DeLyn Barton son of Mrs. Dorthra Barton, who leaves soon for the Netherlands Mission and Cache Burrows. Kanab News Notes Mr. and Mrs. Robert Banks and baby moved to Salt Lake City to make their home. Bob has employment there. Mrs. Carl Carlson entertained her bridge club this week. A delicious dessert was served to 12 guests. The Val Jacksons are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jackson this week. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and will feature the usual hill climbing and the interesting cross country run. Last meet that was held was highly successful in spite of a pouring rain in the afternoon. While visiting in the area with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Russell McAllister (Elaine) the W rights were also able to visit their son, LeRoy and his wife. They visited Disneyland and Forrest Lawn Memorial Park. LeRoy is taking his appreticeship at Forrest Lawn.
