Saturday morning we woke up to a white world, It was really a beautiful sight, most of us I think was hardly ready for winter. Visitors at the Reo Heatons were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lucero of San Diego, Calif. Mrs Lucero Is a sister to Mrs. Heaton. Holland Chamberlain met with a freak accident Wednesday fixing a truck tire, it exploded knocking the rim off hitting RoL land, who received a badly broken arm and lacerations of the face as well as bruises. They operated on his arm Tuesday putting a pin In it We all wish Holland a speedy recovery. The American Legion Auxiliary held a meeting Wednesday night at the home of their president, Mrs. Clyde Tait, to check on their entertainment to be held Thanksgiving night. They hope that all of you have made plans to attend, also that night they will give away a beautiful doll with an out of this world wardrobe, its only 50 cent for a chance. The doll is in the window at Chamberlain store. Be sure to join with the Auxiliary Thanksgiving night. Parents Day was held at the Valley High School Friday with the parents getting a taste of school life, 1 think the teachers would much prefer teaching, the students. Friday morning a very interesting assembly was presente by each department at the school giving a part, then the parents went to a ten minute class that their son or daughter was taking. The afternoon was spent in individual visits with the teachers. Im always amazed at these Parent Day and meeting at how many students dont have any parents and also how many dont have any fathers, of course we know that a r good share of the fathers work.
