Many, along with their qualifying characteristics, are listed in the catalog. 2/98 T here's an amazing band in concert at the Delta Center and you would love tickets, but you're here in Cedar City-250 miles away from the ticket office and you don't have a car. Did you know that those very tickets, as well as tickets to any other Smith's Tix event in Utah can be purchased in the Centrum Arena Box Office? "Not many people know this, but we have been part of the Data Tix circuit since September," said Maureen Robb, ticket office manager. "Jazz tickets, concerts, even ski passes are all available right here. We even carry tickets to all Utah college sporting events except for those at BYU. 11 Previous} y, if a SUU student wanted to obtain event tickets, he or she would have to call 1-800-888TIXX and have a c redit card in hand. The only alternative to that was to find a ride to Salt Lake or Las Vegas and camp out for tickets. "We feel that making this service available to the students, and the community of Cedar City just broadens the opportunity for things to do and for experience, 11 said Robb. "Plus, many s tudents don't have credit cards or ch ecking accounts. Our being a Smith's Tix outlet enables students t he opportunity to get tickets to events they otherwise wouldn't be able to attend." A listing of events running through June 12 is available from the ticket office. Some of the biggest selling upcoming events include Aerosmith, George Strait, Megadeth, and Clint Black concerts, Jazz and Grizzlies game passes, Golden Glove Boxing, Ch'a mpion s on Ice, Victory Cup Karate, the Buck-A-Thon. and ski passes at T he C anyons. "Ticket prices very depending on the even t and what seats are available. All of that information we can provide if students just call or stop by the office," sai d Robb. The Centrum ticket office is located on the west end of the Centrum. For information call 5867872. |
