Show Indoor track set to begin ~,e Fresh off a successful cross country season which included a Mid-Con championship and the best finish ever by t he SU men's team, Head Coach Eric H oule and his runners will now turn their at tention indoors as they prepare for the upcom ing 1998 indoor track and field season. The schedule will include several schools in the western states and will finish with the Mid-Con indoor champion ships to be held at the end of February. The season begins in Logan as the 'Birds participate in the Aggie Indoor Multi-Utah State meet on Jan. 9. The following day the team travels to Pocatello, Idaho to compete in the Snake River Invitational hosted by Idaho State. The last m eet for the 'Birds before the MidCon championships will be held Feb. 14 when t hey participate in the Flagstaff Invitational. Although there are more than 40 runners on the practice team, the squad travels with only the top-40 runners in the program. The runners that participated in the cross country season appear to be running strong h eading into the season, while the rest of the team is unproven having had the fall season off in terms of competition.
