Show Sun Chronicle December LOS Church News. LDS CHURCH NEWS ROY STAKE SECOND WARD Two babies have been Roger and Pam Stratford has as their guests for the holiday, her parents of Boise, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Winger, their daughter Kathy and her husband of Ogden, and their daughter Becky and her husband Kay Okey of Roy, spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Wyoming with another daughter, Margaret and her family. TCiey report that road conditions made travel extremely hazardous. Mrs. Wayne (Linda) Hunsaker and two of her children, are visiting in Roy with her brother Steven blessed and named by their fathers. Ralph and Jolene Allen named their baby boy Joseph Steven, and Max and Debbie Green named their baby girl Hannah. Carrie Mann, daughter of Reed and Beverly Mann has been baptized and confirmed by her father. FOURTH WARD The baby daughter of Ray and Kathy Pence has been blessed by her uncle, Lynn Pence, and named Lisa Marie. The daughter of Gary and JoLynne Carlsen was blessed by her father, and named Lisah Brooke. Wesley Vernon, son of Glen and Judy Vernon, was baptized and confirmed by his uncle, Don McDonald. Cultural Arts Specialist; Janet Engelke, Primary teacher, Carolyn Choate, Relief Society Cultura. Refinement teacher; and Kim Hall boy, born Nov. 24 at St. Benedicts Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Larsen and family went to Ephraim, Utah to spend Thanksgiving with his parents who are former residents of Roy. Jay and Susan Nancino, of are parents of a baby boy, born Nov. 23 at 2173 W. 5475 S. and been ordained a Deacon. THIRTEENTH WARD Edward Armstrong has been released as Scoutmaster, and Reed Cheney as assistant Scoutmaster. Jimmy Slater was sustained as the new Scoutmaster, and Edward Armstrong as assistant. The Elders quorum has been reorganized. Jimmy was released as president, and Greg Costley, 2nd counselor. The new president is Greg Costley. Terry Stokes remains as 1st counselor, and Brent Godfrey is the new 2ned counSlater selor. The Spiritual Living lesson Will be taught at Relief Society next Wednesday. There will also be Visiting Teachers meeting. ROY NORTH STAKE NINTH WARD Phyllis Skidmore has been released as president of the Young Womens Mutual, and Marian counselors Sheridan and Julie Silver. was Helen Thompson released as a counselor in the Primary and Karan Fowers, Jr. Sunday School teacher. Karan Fowers is the new Young Womens president, with Helen Thompson and Beverly Lister as counher City, and attended the wedding on Friday in the St. McKay Dee Hospital. Jim and Kerry Maw and their children, of Kalispell, Montana, spent last week in Roy, they stayed at the home of Kerrys parents, Kelly and Ellen Rees. Evan Winkler, who was seriously burned in an accident at work, has been released from the hospital, and is doing well at home. Keith and Laura Homer, and some of their children, spent the holiday in Cedar City and St. George.
