Sunset LDS Stake News Sunset Stake The stake camp is slated for a cleanup on Aig. 26. Those planning to go on this project be at South Fork at 9 a.m. Tools for cleanup will be needed and trucks. Futher information may be obtained and tranarranged if sportation needed by calling 825-657- Our Saviors Report On Sunday, Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Roy will participate in the annual family outing canyon breakfast and service in Box Eder Camp Grounds at the entrance to Logan Canyon. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 10:30 a m., at a cost of $1.75 for adults, $1 for children under 12, or $6 per family. The outdoor service will be held at 11 a.m. in conjunction with Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Brigham City. There will be no service at Lutheran Our Saviors Church in Roy on Aug. 27. On Sept. 3, the congregation will return to the fall-wint- schedule, with worship services at 10:45 a.m. The congregations annual steak fry will be held on the patio of Mr. and Mrs. Glade Nielsen's home, 2067 S. 4750 W., Roy, on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. Adult members and friends are asked to make reservations with Mrs. or Ms! Nielsen, Mary Delker, by the evening of Aug. 27. Those attending are asked to bring their own table service and contribute their share of the cost of the food. Stapley, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the LDS Church. Elder Stapley FUNERAL died Saturday walking near his home and suffered a cardiac arrest. He will be buried in his home state of Arizona. Conferences planned by LDS Church SALT LAKE CITY, Utah five area conferences in the United States and one in Canada have been scheduled for 1979 by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y to according Saints, President Ezra Taft Benson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. announced Previously are conferences area scheduled this fall in South h Africa, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, reports W. The 1979 area conferences will be held in Houston, April 14,15; in Los Angeles May 5, 6; in Chicago Aug. 4, 5; in Toronto, Aug. 25, 26; Washington D.C., Sept. 8, 9; and Atlanta, in Sept. 22, 23. The Toronto conference will be the first for Canada since the Church, in 1971, inaugurated its policy of conducting such gatherings away from its Salt Lake City headquarters. The first conference in the United States was conducted earlier this summer in Honolulu, but area conferences have been held in other parts of the world since the first in Manchester, England, seven years ago. The area conferences will be conducted under the direction of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Showando scheduled by scouts Local scouters are busily making plans for a multidistrict Showando training session for Boy Scout leaders. This years event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Marquardt Park in Ogden. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. with the Flag ceremony beginning at 8 a.m. All Institutionalrepres-entatives- , Scoutmasters, Scoutmasters, Blazer Scout leaders, Ward and Stake Primary Assistant Presidents, Stake Scouting Directors, Troop Leaders Council and Blazer Patrol leaders, committeemen and dads are invited from Mt. Ogden, Skyline, Francis Peak and Gateway Districts. Each unit will be participating as a patrol and will need their own patrol flag Prizes will be given for the most original patrol flags. The cost will be $2.50 per person if registered before Sept. 16 and $3 after this date. There will be trail station, a rally and a song fest. Lunch will be served to all participants.
