The citation accompanying the Battle E was personally presented to his ship by Secretary of Navy J. William Middendorf. During the annual combat readiness evaluation of all the fleet ships, Bronstein was rated excellent in every phase of her operation. DeMille has been assigned aboard the Bronstein since March 1975.
