Show enthusiastic LETTER SENATOR brinkerhoff aiom the green plyer dispatch emery april 16 1909 dear ed tor I 1 am just in receipt of your communication I 1 am free to e press my sincere appreciation of its contents and I 1 am ready and willing to join in tha chords and work for good roads the bridge across gleen means progress prosperity a benefit to the deop e of that locality it will annance the value of farm land facilitate trans pol tation which ill add untold wealth to the producers and the con umers of the country in fac I 1 be lieve it s the milestone of success for it will economize time and give labor a lift it will save weal a id tear and worry and waste believe it will assist in beautifying the country and add wealth to our great commonwealth the bbate utah I 1 believe it will aid us socially and religiously aid the educational interest which is one of our prime factors for pi ogress and happiness I 1 believe it will make our homes better and hap pier and will promote social se I 1 believe that it will help the interests of our state and thereby as us to cultivate the oil and ct feed multitudes and add greatness to all concerned I 1 believe it will be the of removing the beai which has hung 0 er the heads of people who have turned then faces toward utah to investigate our gi eat resources and after doing u to make the des ei t blossom as the rose it will assist us to carry out the good work of our fathers and mothers who corns to thia country with pure motives and gae the choicest moments of their lives for betterment of their fellow men these men and women came early in the day dundei trying circumstances time will not permit me to dwell too long but they dealt with the stern reali ies of life I 1 am told that a number of men have lost their lives in gleen river days gone by to me this is a touching cene but I 1 trust that the time is soon here when we will hear of a good sub budge being bu it for the safe ty of al biers and goers I 1 feel free to express that I 1 was double paid for my visit to your city last winter and in doing so I 1 am conn dent I 1 voice the sentiment of the entire party of legislators who caire on that occasion in person to crown your efforts with grand success cheti we went up the valley one could be easily convinced that people of green river valley were actuated by the pint of industry and economy it was indeed inspiration to me to how they had planted and built for the future and while on this subject I 1 wish to express nav s thanks to all your people for their hospitality and kindness when I 1 read in the newspaper new paper that a great many of the appropriations asked for by the different counties met the blue veto pencil of governor spry I 1 could not refrain from expressing my regrets along that line and still I 1 feel confident that his heart froes out to all people of this state and will do all he can to relieve the wants of all as far as the meano of alie state will per nut I 1 feel grateful to his excellency the governor for his 1 toy the senatorial district also to the senate and house of representative in conclusion let me say I 1 am indeed indebted to the different re presenta tives which go to make up the senatorial d strict for their untiring efforts along the pi oper line we la bored together foi the benefit of our constituents and did what we could consistently for the ones who honored us with the great favor of send ng u to work for their welfare very truly yours ALONZO brinkerhoff senator of senatorial district |
