Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hurst spent Mothers Day with relatives in Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Tubbs and Mrs. Arda Rapp, who have been spending the winter in Arizona are back in Roy. Mr. Tubbs flew home, while Mrs. Tubbs drove home with Mrs. Rapp and Mrs. Lorene Foley who had spent about three weeks in Arizona with friends. d Mr. and Mrs. Frank have a new baby daughter, born about two weeks ago. This is the couples seventh child. Alton Harper is in the hosp-tia- l where she is being treated for a back injury. Craig Nelson is also a patient in the hospital where he had surgery Monday. Carol Holloway was hostess at her home recently for the Knit Wits Club. An evening of visiting and sewing was enjoyed and lovely refreshments served to Lynile Buhler, LaRae McEntire, Elsie Cottle, Marilyn Whinham, Marilyn Beck, Helen Hubbard, Betty Wood, Tina Visser, Virginia Wursten, and a new member Ellen Rees. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wade, who are currently living in Turkey, where Dean is stationed with the Air Force, are spending a few weeks on a tour of several European Countries. They will visit friends in Germany, where Dean served as an LDS missionary and also spend some time in Switzerland, where they will attend sessions at the temple. Mrs. Wade is the former Judy Cottle of Roy. A baby girl arrived at McKay Hospital May 10 to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bowden. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hay also had a baby girl May 10. This is the couples first child. Ralph Shomaker a resident of Roy for about 15 years, passed away Monday in Man-t- i, of a heart attack. He and Mrs Shomaker had been visiting relatives there and were just leaving to return home. Among the survivors are his wife Margaret and a daughter, Mrs Lanny (Carol) Spraycar both of Roy. They Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fawson, and daughter Karen and son Phillip are home after a three weeks tour of Europe. They flew to Switzerland where they picked up their son, Paul, who has been serving an LDS mission there. The group then visited several of the countries on the continent and then flew to England for a few days where they visited another son, Peter, who is a missionary in that country. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Carson are parents of a baby girl, their sixth child. She was born May 8 at the McKay Hospital. The Marlis Jackman family motored to Blackfoot, Ida., to spend Mothers Day with relatives.
