The public is invited to attend and enjoy various game booths including a fish pond, bingo, squirt a teacher, cake of the Little (JETTING together for the kick-of- f Buckaroo Rodeo at Roy Elements.; are (1. to r.) Working on the rodeo plans for Hoy are Mary Benik, general chairman; Carol LaFIam queen Warren, Marilyn and Michelle Clark, contest, Shanna program chairman; Hargis, advertising chairman; Helena Carney, Sharon contestant sign-uTaylor, ticket chairman and Marcie Kawaguchi, publicity chairman Hoy Elementary will be sharing May 2 with Riverdale School while the Rodeo runs May 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 10, 11, ar.d 12, at the Golden Spike Coliseum. set Roys contestant sign-u- p will be held April 18, from 10:30 to 12 noon and 3:30 to 5 30p m. at the school. Students, in order to compete, must have a parent accompany them to sign-up walk, grab bags, country store, candy booths, pound a nail, bear bag toss, tricycle obstacie course and balloons. A dinner plate of barbeque or hot dog, potato salad, and pickles will be served for only 65 cents or you may purchase individual items. Also on the menu will be soft drinks, ice cream, cake or sweetroll each for 10 cents. Also on sale will be cotton candy, snow cones and candy. A beautiful double bed size quilt will be given away during the carnival. Bring the entire family, enjoy dinner and spend the evening together visiting the many said Barbara Skidbooths, more, PTA president. MAKING PLANS for the North Park PTA carnival are Pam Winward. Gwen Hansen and Scott Mason. Larry and Norene Dickey are visiting here from Kettle Falls, Washington, this week. They are staying at the home of Norenes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Ross. Darrin McDonald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max McDonald, fell from a ladder and sustained a concussion. A few days later his father suffered a back injury on his job. We wish them both a hurried recovery. Lewis Arave, who suffered a stroke last month, is now home from the hospital and doing well. We would like to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Wigness and daughter Jennifer to Hooper. They moved into their new home last week at Cottonwood Meadows. In the Hooper First Ward there were a few babies bleed. Lesley McArther, daughter of Floyd and Daryl McArther was given a name. Paul and Carla Christensen chose to name their baby Burke Ray Christensen. In the second ward Nicole Maughan, was the name chosen for their daughter by David and Gloria Maughn. Roger and Kay Rawson named their daughter Rohell Rawson. Justin Bret and Jayson Bart were names for Rex and Bobbi Charlesworths twin sons. Remedial reading problems can be undertaken at county hospital - Vonda Douglass, ROY M.S., Head of the Speech Pathology Department at Weber County Hospital, recen- tly attended a regional meeting of Developmental Disabilities Association on the subject Early Education of High Risk Children. The three-da- y workshop was under the direction of thleen Godfrey, R.N., M S., and covered such subjects as current therapy techniques used in the remediation of disabilities in the intervention programs of high risk children. Ms. Douglass has been member of the Rehabilitation Team at Weber County Hospital since November, received her Master of Science Degree from Utah State University. Her training includes the newest methods utilized in the diagnosis, evaluation and remediation of 1972. She and language problems. The Speech Pathology Department provides speech remedial speech services to conditions such as delayed development, language aphasia, speech of the cerebral palsied child, vocal problems, articulation and stuttering. This department provides services to all hospitalized patients who require the skills offered by the Speech Clinic as well as members in the community who would utilize such services. Hospital, Out-Patie- 825-973- Lakeview PTA meet Last PTA for Lakeview Elementary School will be held Thursday April 12 at 7:30 p.m Mrs. Helena B. Watson, Teacher in the Elementary Education Department at Weber State College, will be speaker and her subject will be The Childs Self Concept and Creativity. Mrs. Watson was a former Principal in Weber County. The School Chir, made up of students from the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth grades will also perform during the evening.
