The Cub Scouts displayed many interesting pets and hobbies, after which turtle ra' s were held. Steven Thompson was given his two-yepin, gold arrow, Webelo Den colors, and was advanced into the Webelos Den. Ronald Rose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Rose, was welcomed as a new member of the pack and received his Bobcat pin. To win the top fair honor young Green, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Green, 6045 S. 1900 W., combined two years of research with two cross-countr- y trips in a search for antibiotic producing soils. He is a junior at Roy High. He gathered soil samples from various locations and altitudes from coast to coast, plus additional samples- from random places in Weber County, then isolated antibiotic compounds he found in them. week. Steve Hill was promoted to Sergeant. John Swenson was promoted to task force investigator.
