HOOPER William Byington, 63, of 2427 F. Ave., died last week when crushed by an elevator while working at the Del Monte Corporation plant at 900 W. 24th. He was a former resident of Hooper. Mr. Byington was born Dec. 29, 1907, in Hooper, a son of John William and Charlotte Saunders Byington. He was employed as an electrician for the Del Monte Packing Co. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 22 years before retiring in 1962. On Dec. 27, 1932, he was married to Dena Kranendonk in The marriage Farmington. was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on April 8, 1963. She died Sept. 2, 1967. He was married to Ellen Giles in Elko, Nev., on July 8, 1971. He was a member of the LDS Church and had served as Sunday School Superintendent, high priest, and home teacher He in the 16th LDS Ward. was a member of the Woodmen of the World. Surviving are his widow of Dgfen;kfive daughters, Hooper; Leonard S. Byington, Irvin H. Byington, Lester M. Byington, all of Ogden; Lawrence E. Byington, Sunset; three sisters, Mrs. Alva (Ruby) Read, Layton; Mrs. Lloyd (Annie) Robinson, Hooper; Mrs. Ray (Nelda) Bybee, Sunset. Funeral services were held Friday in the Myers Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Theron L. of the 16th Ward White officiating. Burial was intheMemorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
