The Sunday session will be at noon in the Tabernacle. The stake choir will furnish the music and are having a rehearsal in the Tabernacle tonight at 8.30 p m. There will be a general leadership meeting at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Ward. th ROY SECOND WARD The presidency of the Primary has been reorganized. Joyce Donaldson was released as was her second counselor, Carolyn Louder and the secretary, Kathy King. Bev- erley Reid was sustained as the new president with Beverly Mann remaining as first counselor and Jenette Morrell as second counselor, and Adella Nelson as secretary. The visiting teachers message will be given next Thursday morning by Jeann Jenkins as Sharon Bullock has been given a leave of absence. June Heiser will give the spiritual living lesson at 10 a m. ROY THIRD WARD The son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wood was blessed on Sunday by his grandfather, Ed Stewart and named Clint Robert. ROY FOURTH WARD Bertha Child will give the cultural refinement lesson in Relief Society next Tuesday morning. They encourage all women of the ward to attend. ROY FIFTH There will be a baptism on Saturday evening with fast meeting on Sunday at 10 a.m. This time change has been made because of stake conference at noon. There will be no Sacrament meeting Sunday night. The Relief Society spiritual living meeting will be held next Thursday morning along with visiting teachers report meeting. ROY SEVENTH WARD to stake conference, Fast meeting will be held at 10 a m. Sunday. Those girls and leaders who are taking swimming lessons, should be at the church at 11:30 a m. Saturday. The girls should all have their release slips with them, signed by their parents. Bette Boehm will give the cultural refinement lesson on Tuesday morning in Relief Society. Due ROY EIGHTH WARD The youth group of the ward which conducted all the meetings last Sunday is to be commended for the good work they did. The Relief Society has recently planned a special program for Relief Society next week and they invite all ladies of the ward to join them. The Primary will present a special program in church Sunday evening. It is titled "The Gospel in Song. There will be a youth fireside Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Relief Society room. ROY THIRTEENTH WARD Those interested in taking the bus excursion to the temple on Friday should contact Scott or Susan Taysom. Blake Minardi has graduated from Primary and been ordained a Deacon by Bishop Briant Funk. Martin Laird has been ordained a Teacher by Blair Beck. Some changes have been made in the YMMIA, and the Aaronic Priesthood. Harry Hansen has been released as superintendent of the YMMIA and Ray Davis and Douglas Ward as counselors, Warren Branch, secretary, Scott Branch, athletic director, Deb Wood, general secretary of the Aaronic Priesthood youth, Calvin Rees, assistant general secretary, Steven Deacons adviser, Jerry Burnett, Teachers adviser, and Leroy Meenderink, Priest adviser. Lee and President N. Eldon Tanner. ROY ELEVENTH WARD Saturday evening at 6:30 is the ward social, with dinner at $2.00 per family. Professional talent has been arranged featuring a chorus and quartets. Blood donations for the bank at McKay Hospital can be given on March 26, 27, April 2 and 5. Contact your Priesthood leader if you can contribute. ROY TWELFTH WARD Latter-da- y ROY SIXTH WARD The WARD Wednesday evening at 7:30 and TuesJay morning at 10, there will be a special program in Relief Society. All women of the ward should plan to attend one of these meet- ings. Fast meeting is Sunday right after Sunday School, with a baptism on Saturday evening. ROY FIFTEENTH WARD Sunday is ward conference, with a special testimony meeting for all ward officers and teachers at 4.30 in the Relief Society room. Tonight is Cub Scout Pack meeting at 7, and a Scout court of honor at 8' 15. Allen Hatch has been ordained a Priest. We wish to welcome Margery Lissman as a new member of the ward. The presidency of the YW MIA was reorganized last Sunday. Lou Ann Allen was released as President along with her counselors, Barbara Morris and Roberta Marriott. Barbara Morris is the new and has chosen president Sharmain Jeppson and Pat Elliot as her counselors and Kathy Green will remain as secretary. The Relief Society will have a special program for their fith week meeting next week. Viola Williams will be in charge. LAKEVIEW WARD Paul Fawson, son of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Fawson, has been ordained an Elder. Conrad Hansen and Kevin Baker have graduated from Primary. We welcome the Allen Richard Christiansen family into our ward as new members. Betty Denning will give a special lesson on the family home evening at the Relief Society meetings next Wedens-da- y at 8 p.m. and Thursday at 10 a.m. LAKEVIEW STAKE Sunday at 9 a.m. is stake conference with Victor L. Brown of the presiding bishopric as the visiting authority. There will be a leadership meeting on Saturday at 7 pm. at the Hooper 2nd Ward. The Stake Speech Festival is scheduled for Sunday at 2 pm. at the Kanesville Church. Halversen and Mrs. Mary Deane Clark will serve as matrons of the respective temples. The First Presidency announced that the appointment were made in preparation for the expected opening of the two new temples this fall. President Halversen and President Clark will serve in the Salt Lake Temple to become acquainted with their new responsibilities and wiil direct the recruiting and training of their respective temple workers in preparation for the opening of the temples for ordinance work. Construction of the two temples is in the final stages and dedications and formal openings are expected in September or October President Halversen served as president of the Weber Stake in Ogden until it was discontinued Aug 16, 1970. Since then he has served as patriarch President and Mrs. Harold Glen Clark, will preside ovi r Provo Temple of the Mount Ogden Stake, the stake into which his area was absorbea in the August move of the church. He has served on high councils of four different btakes, president of the Smithfield, Utah stake, Weber Stake, and of the New Zealand Mission He also has served on the LDS Church General Welfare Committee. He is retired from the Del Monte Corp. packing company after having served in executive positions for 40 years. President Halverson is a native of Spanish Fork, Utah, where he was born Nov. 3, 19 1 of Thomas and Emma Olteson Halversen. He was married to Luana Parker Franklin. Ida., June 1, of 1932 in the Logan LDS Temple. They have five children. Mrs Halversen was born Aug. 23, 1913, a daughter of J. Manuel and Lonetta Johnson Packer. She also has been active in the LDS Church, and has served as president of the Smith-fiel- d Stake Primary, the Weber Stake Relief Society board and as ward chorister. She has been employed with the Ogden City Board of Education. President Clark has been with the Brigham Young University since 1946 when he left the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a personnel training director. He served an LDS Mission in the Eastern States Mission, on the high council of the Maricopa Stake, as bishop of the Washington, D C. Ward (branch) and later the Oakhills First Ward in Provo, Utah. He also has served on the high council of Sharon East Stake. He is a native of Mesa, Ariz., where he was educated and late taught school following his graduation from BYU. He received his M.S. degree from the University of California and Ed D. degree from the George Washington University. He was married to Virginia Driggs in 1929 and following her death, he married Mary Deane Peterson Gilbert in 1950. Mrs. Clark was born in Richfield, Utah.
