Nelson will be both ordained into the office of the Holy Ministry in the Lutheran Church-MissouSynod and installed as Mission-ary-Large for southern Utah and as Pastor of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday, May 2, at 5 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church. Nelson was bom in Deland, FL on July 2, 1964. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry, and a Master of Science Degree in Water Resources Management at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He had a successful career in natural resources management before entering a four-yeprogram of study at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne where he received his Master of Divinity degree this year. Nelson married Diane Eisel on May 21, 1998. They have two children, a daughter Claire and a son, Andrew.
