Mogollon did not commit a single error in the contest, with all six of Fredonias runs earned. Two of the Mustangs 16 runs were earned. The pitching and hitting should have won this game for Fredonia, but their fielding errors prevented that from happening. After losing the first game the way they did, the Lynx were back on their heels in the second contest and couldnt seem to get started. After pitching the final 3 innings in the first game, 6. Mogollon scored nine of their 10 runs in the first two innings, but did not score their tenth and final run until the sixth inning. The game ended at that time under the 10 run mercy rule. Pratt faced only two men over the minimum in the third, fourth and fifth innings. The leadoff batter got a hit in the third and Pratt hit a batter in the fifth. Mogollon scored their final run in the sixth when their leadoff batter walked, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a Lynx error. Several Lynx batters really stung the ball in this game, but it seems like those hard hit balls went right to a Mustang fielder. On the other hand, several balls hit by Mogollon in the disastrous first were just barely out of the reach of a Lynx fielder. Fredonia could only manage five hits in this game, while Mogollon banged out nine. Seven of their hits came in the big first inning. Pratt struck out five, while walking only three. The Mustang pitcher struck out four and walked two. Lynx fielders committed three errors in this game, while Mogollon only made one error total in both games.
